About me

I believe I would make a wonderful nanny because I truly care about the development of our future generation in this world. The opportunity to help mold these blossoming minds is so rewarding. I feel that I have become a better person through my work with the youth of today. This is one of the reasons I would like to dedicate my time to working with children.

I have worked with children in all stages of development from infancy through young adulthood, from changing diapers to teaching leadership skills, and found great joy and satisfaction in all of it. I am a sharp, detail oriented perfectionist with a creative mind that lends itself well to planning fun activities, adventurous days and a nurturing environment with kids. I am a big animal lover with a vegan diet, so I understand dietary needs and have no problem cooking healthy, gluten free, organic, vegan, or vegetarian meals if necessary.

After college I was bitten by the teaching bug. I worked with the Forefront Arts Center as a drama school teacher at three different charter/private schools. Half of the class was dedicated to working on techniques and the other was dedicating to learning a scene and a song with movement. I worked with younger children from the ages of 5-12 during this time. I also gave private musical theater lessons to 4 girls for 2-hour classes, dividing our time into dance, voice, and acting.

Before moving back to the city I worked as a fairy at the Georgia Renaissance Festival. It was one of the most rewarding experiences I have had the privilege of being a part of. For full days, I would teach children dances, tell stories, hold a fairy court, and really got to be a child myself. It was so rewarding and well worth the amount of fairy dust I used.

I am very hands on when it comes to working with children. I like to create a secure, structured environment while leaving plenty of room for creativity, imagination, and fun.

Throughout the years childcare and teaching have impacted me in a way I couldn’t have imagined. Watching a young mind develop and question is an astonishing thing that I hope to continue to discover.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Five years from now I would love to be an ambassador or the head of a non profit organization for social change. I would love to fundraise, educate, and raise awareness through different expressions of art and educational seminars. I would also love to continue with my craft in the entertainment business and work on growing my family.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I pride myself in being a Renaissance woman; I love all forms of art, literature, and history, which are the top subjects I personally dove into at school over the years. I love teaching new crafts, reading novels and poetry out loud, and allowing a child to be creative and use their imaginations. The skills and courses I have taught over the years include vocal training, english, history, acting, directing, stage combat, improv, scene and monologue studies, audition skills, art history, sewing, painting, wearable art, etc.
