About me
As a child, you could often find me curled up with a Babysitters Club book (the series by Ann M Martin). As I grew up, I began living out the lives of the Babysitters Club members, and realized that I not only found it a great privilege, but genuinely enjoyed helping families take care of their children. Over the past 15 years, I've been able to serve as an occasional baby-sitter, part-time nanny, youth development worker, "party pal," and after-school tutor. I am also a social worker, so I not only have practical experiences, but have dedicated my educational career to learning more about best practices when working with children and youth. These varied experiences have given me a range of skills - from potty training and meal prep to math homework – as well as experience working with children in multiple stages of development - from newborn to teens.
My sitting style is rooted in a deep belief that a balance of structure and creative fun creates the best environment for a child to play, learn, and grow. I don’t believe that “one size fits all” when it comes to youth development, and thus I’m always looking for opportunities to learn more and make sure I’m providing the best experience for children and their parents or guardians.

In 5 years, I hope to be...
still living in New York, supporting a school or youth-related non-profit. I may also be beginning to think about starting a family of my own!
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
It depends on the age of the child or children! I love creative play time, whether that means putting on a puppet show made out of paper lunch bags, building a fort to sit in during story time, or building an entire city made of legos.
