About me

I'm the third oldest of ten children, so I've been taking care of kids for almost as long as I can remember. When I was thirteen I began babysitting for other families as well, and have continued to work with kids ever since. I've been fortunate enough to get to work with children as a babysitter, teacher, entertainer, and volunteer, and am so grateful for every experience I've had. It's truly a privilege to have the opportunity to work with kids and their families, and I strive to do the best that I can to have a positive impact on their lives.

I have experience babysitting for children of all ages, from infants to teenagers. I have also taught art, music, gym, preschool, and musical theatre classes to young children. When I was in college I regularly volunteered with an after school program, where I had the opportunity to provide homework assistance to children, as well as facilitate various games, art projects, and activities. Working with those kids in a community setting was a wonderful and eye opening experience. My greatest takeaway from that experience was how much I love to encourage children to feel confident in themselves, and lead them to accomplish things beyond what they had previously thought possible.

When babysitting, my first priority is always ensuring that the children are kept safe. On top of that, I believe that it's important to create a nurturing, fun, and educational environment for children whenever I work with them. I recognize that every family is different, and make it a high priority to communicate effectively with parents in order to make sure that I'm interacting with their children in ways that align with their wishes for their family. I love getting to know each individual child I work with, and am continually amazed by how much I get to learn through working with children.
