About me

Hi! I'm Samantha. I'm a native New Yorker, but was raised in the Bay Area so I have a unique blend of East Coast go-getter enthusiasm and West Coast warmth. I'm a working actor in voice over, theatre and film. I am also a teaching artist to all ages in imagination and adventure, Shakespeare, voice, speech, and movement. And sometimes, I moonlight as a glitter tattoo artist for children's birthday parties!
My work as a personal and executive assistant, as well as a nanny has made me no stranger to light cleaning, tidying, and meal prep. I have nannied for kids of all ages - infant to teen, and have overseen bedtimes, bath times, diaper changes, transporting children to and from various extracurricular activities, and homework help.
I started babysitting when I was still a kid, myself! With over 15 years of childcare experience, I am well versed in meeting new kids and catering to their individual personalities. Every child is special and, as a caretaker, I want to treat her/him/them as such. Some of my favorite childhood memories include my caretakers and I realize how important that relationship can be! I strive to be a positive influence, a welcome distraction, and a sincere (if occasionally firm) playmate.
Kids have such enthusiasm and wonder for the world around them...if only we all retained those qualities with such vigor!

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Voicing animated characters and commercials, still playing onstage and still teaching youth!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

As a voice talent, I specialize in reading with fun voices, and I also love to encourage children to read, themselves. I also love to dance (I'm a former dancer, as well!) and think that movement can be a powerful and important tool through which kids can express themselves. Our bodies were designed to move! A session with me can include improv games, crafts, and story time centered around a theme or existing book/musical/cartoon. We may decorate socks and put on a puppet show for a stuffed animal audience or we may make up a jingle for our trucks and record it using drums made of cardboard boxes!
