About me

Hi! My name is Emily. I’ve been a New Yorker for a little over 7 years now, and I absolutely love it. Children bring me so much joy and give me so much energy. My passion is working with children and helping them to grow into the person that they were born to be. I believe a large part of that is maintaining consistency, particularly in establishing healthy routines. I feel that this is essential and vital to their growth.

I am formally educated as a musical theater performer and have found this training to be invaluable in terms of helping children to maintain focus, put a smile on their face, and improvise when situations are less than ideal. Sometimes a silly made up song about bath time is the key to keeping a child on schedule so they are on time for school, their meals, and bed time.

As of late, I've been spending my time developing an outdoor Shakespeare program for children in the community where I have been sheltering in place and teaching tap dance classes over Zoom for the past 3 months.
